PUBHLT 0445 - ADMINISTRATIVE BURDEN AND INEQUALITY IN U.S. HEALTH CARE Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Administrative burdens often induce delays and confusion for individuals navigating the American health care system. What’s more, these burdens impose significant health literacy demands, which can lead to racial and economic disparities in who has meaningful access to health care. This course will look at how administrative burden and inequality intersect to shape our health care system and consider how health insurance entities can better promote access to care. This course satisfies the writing intensive requirement for Public Health undergraduate students.
