PUBHLT 0432 - EPIDEMIOLOGY IN PUBLIC HEALTH PRACTICE Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course introduces applied epidemiology with an emphasis on the practical application of epidemiological concepts. Discussions will be based on advances in the field of epidemiology and cover a range of timely public health issues, including outbreak investigations, risks associated with lifestyle choices, and public health emergencies. Students will gain knowledge through lectures, case-based studies, exercises, and optional readings. Additionally, students will develop skills to address public health challenges relating to communication, resource use, and coordination of efforts by participating in Incident Command System (ICS) training.
