PUBHLT 0340 - FUNDAMENTALS OF HEALTH POLICY AND MANAGEMENT Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course is an introduction to health policy and management in the United States, which provides a framework for understanding the social, political, legal, and economic dimensions of the U.S. health and public health systems. It introduces the U.S. policymaking and legal system, offers brief comparisons to health policies in certain other countries, provides scaffolding knowledge about the organization and economics of the health care system in the U.S., and highlights historical and contemporary issues in health policy.
