PUBHLT 0120 - ESSENTIALS OF HEALTH EQUITY: EXPLORING SOCIAL AND STRUCTURAL DETERMINANTS OF HEALTH Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Students will learn to identify and critically discuss health disparities - historical, political, economic, social, cultural, and environmental determinants of an identified health equity issue - and evaluate the impact or potential impact of interventions to reduce inequities. The course will be rooted in the exploration of the intersectionality of health disparities in race, ethnicity, age, gender, religion, sexual identity, disability, and other areas.
