ECON 0640 - ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA (MENA) REGION Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course is designed to expose students to current views by academics and policy makers on past practices and future challenges facing the economies of the Mena region. The course will be taught with an interdisciplinary emphasis on political, social, and cultural, as well as economic aspects. Assignments will include a research paper in addition to a group project presentation. Students will gain an overall understanding of the economic problems of the region, and will be able to effectively analyze changes in the economic climate of the region.
