Return to: Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences Korean minor requirements for Option 1 have been modified, so that fulfilling Korean minor requirements entails completing (a) one KOREAN language course, (b) one KOREAN culture course, and (c) three other KOREAN courses.

Korean option
This option is intended for students who have little or no previous experience with the Korean language and requires 15 to 19 credits to complete.
Students must take:
- one KOREAN language course
- one KOREAN culture course
- three other KOREAN courses

Students must complete one of the following courses.
Korean language and culture courses
Students must complete three of the following courses.
Korean for Heritage Learners option
This option is designed for heritage learners and requires 12 to 14 credits to complete.
Students must take:
- two second-, third-, or fourth-year language courses from the Language course list, totaling six to eight credits; and
- two courses from the Culture, Film, Linguistics, or Literature course list.
Two four-credit Korean language courses from the following list.
Two three-credit course from the following list

Grade Requirements
A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required for the minor.
Satisfactory/No Credit Option
There is no limit to the number of courses that can be taken on the Satisfactory/No Credit (S/NC) basis for this certificate.
