NUR 1138 - COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING CLINICAL Minimum Credits: 2 Maximum Credits: 2 The overall objective of this course is to provide the student with a broad introduction to community health and the role of nursing within this context. Students will experience independence and collaboration with community-based clinicians in a variety of settings. Students will have opportunities to apply epidemiology; health promotion and disease prevention within groups; individual and family case management; community assessment and intervention; environmental hazards; and factors influencing the delivery of and access to community health services at the individual, family, and aggregate levels.
