NUR 1128 - COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING Minimum Credits: 2.5 Maximum Credits: 2.5 The overall objective of this course is to provide the student with a broad introduction to community health and the role of nursing within this context. Students will explore epidemiology; health promotion and disease prevention within groups; individual and family case management; community assessment and intervention; environmental hazards; and factors influencing the delivery of and access to community health services. The health care needs of selected at-risk populations will be examined.
