Primary focus is the organizational and operational functions of a cancer registry. Medical management of patient, physiology of disease process methodology used in evaluation extent of disease and assessing outcome through patient follow-up, use of ICD-O classification system is presented. Impact of data quality and availability in relation to utilization of the registry is stressed.
