ANTH 1772 - ANTHROPOLOGY OF WOMEN Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 During this course students are asked to consider how gender differences relate to women’s and men’s roles in productive labor, in the disposition of property, and in the realm of family and kinship. Building on these discussions participants will also examine the way in which gender and sexual differences are represented at the cultural and ideological level. Cultural constructions of masculinity and femininity in southern Europe, china, and new guinea will receive particular attention.
