BIOSC 0157 - FOUNDATIONS OF BIOLOGY RESEARCH LABS 1 & 2

Long Description This research-focused introductory biology lab uses real research projects to introduce biology as an experimental science. Students learn current biology laboratory techniques through an authentic research-based project throughout the semester. Meeting times are divided into 50 minutes of asynchronous web-based lecture and 2 hours and 50 minutes in the lab each week. Additional homework outside of class time is expected. This double-credit lab fulfills the two-term introductory biology lab requirement for pre-health programs and majors requiring introductory biology.
