Long Description This course introduces students to machine learning techniques for prediction and classification, with a focus on real-world health applications. Students will learn how to prepare data for classification algorithms, implement key predictive models, and assess model accuracy using statistical software. The course also covers unsupervised learning techniques for the purposes of classification. Emphasis is placed on interpreting results, assessing model performance, and evaluating the appropriateness of using various machine learning models for public health research and decision-making.
