ENGCMP 1100 - LANGUAGE OF BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This advanced course examines how organizations communicate with a variety of audiences across a range of corporate contexts and genres, including employees, investors, consumers, government officials, and the public. Students will analyze how companies construct and maintain their identity through language and will practice writing in genres common to business and industry, including brand communications, employment documents, internal reports, stakeholder reports, and social responsibility writing. Working collaboratively, students will develop a professional portfolio that demonstrates their command of corporate communication across multiple audiences and purposes.
