RUSS 2210 - STRUCTURE OF RUSSIAN Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Required of Russian teaching assistants, this course approaches Russian inflectional and derivational morphology from two points of view simultaneously: how to describe it linguistically, and how to describe it to an English speaking elementary learner of Russian. Finer points of Russian sound and word structure are examined. The concepts of basic linguistic analysis are elaborated on the example of Russian material. This course is preparatory for the departmental comprehensive examination section on descriptive Russian linguistics.
