MUSIC 2121 - INTRODUCTION TO ETHNOMUSICOLOGY Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 The course is designed for all first graduate students in music and aims to give them an overall understanding of the discipline through a survey of its history, theory, and methodology, and of the writings of major scholars in the field. A series of specific research projects will be integrated with the theoretical discussions, and technical aspects of research such as field work, transcription, and analysis will be covered.
