MED 5116 - FOUNDATIONS OF MEDICINE 3 Minimum Credits: 0 Maximum Credits: 0 Section 3 of the basic science block begins with a segment that elucidates the systems of communication that are activated upon challenge by disease causing organisms and physiologic stressors (immunology). The final course in this section is the study of disease-causing organisms, their occurrence, preferred hosts and the diseases they cause. Evaluation is based on laboratory exercises, problem-solving sessions and written examinations.
