LAW 2225 - INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS TRANSACTION Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course analyzes basic international business transactions and the effects of U.S. Law, specific foreign law, and treaties on the conduct of the parties involved. The course covers issues of commercial law, regulation of cross-border transactions, dispute resolution, tax considerations, and antitrust law. Although a basic understanding of each of the areas of the law in the domestic context is helpful, there are no course prerequisites. Students are expected to develop an understanding of the U.S. Laws applicable to private international transactions and an awareness of the risks inherent in doing business in or with other countries and their nationals.
