IE 2012 - MANUFACTURE OF STRUCTURAL NANOMATERIALS Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Description: this course covers contemporary research topics on the design and manufacture of nanostructured materials. In addition to design and manufacturing, this course would also emphasize the nanometer-scale phenomena that make nanostructured materials particularly attractive for structural applications. Topics such as dislocation theory, large strain plasticity phenomena, super plasticity and kinetics of coarsening will be discussed in the context of structural nanomaterials.
