ENGWRT 1330 - INTERMEDIATE NONFICTION: SCENE AND POINT-OF-VIEW Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Students in this course will study, practice, produce and revise short pieces of literary nonfiction while examining basic structures of the essay, the profile, and long form narratives. We will study the anatomy of a scene and explore techniques of scene-by-scene construction. Students will be expected to master the basics of point-of-view, and to begin experimenting with voice. We will develop research techniques including the art of the interview and immersion research. This course will place emphasis on digital forms of publishing. Students will develop personal blogs. Workshopping of student work will be limited.
