ECE 1186 - SOFTWARE ENGINEERING Minimum Credits: 4 Maximum Credits: 4 This course and laboratory introduces classical and object oriented software engineering. Software requirements, specification, object-oriented analysis, design, implementation, integration, and maintenance are covered. Each of these phases is examined on a practical level through a semester long, formal design project that involves the creation of a java-based internet application. Additional java-related topics are taught, including java applets, custom networking, remote database access, SQL, and multimedia extensions.
