CHE 1754 - PRINCIPLES OF POLYMER ENGINEERNG Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course deals with the elements of polymer science and engineering necessary for entry-level understanding of polymer technology. While the chemistry determines macromolecular microstructure, an understanding of polymer manufacture and processing requires the addition of physical chemistry and transport phenomena. The essential material covered in this class includes the elements of polymers thermodynamics, rheology, mechanical behavior, and equipment design. Academic Career: Undergraduate Course Component: Lecture Grade Component: LG/SU3 Elective Basis Course Requirements: PREQ: CHE 0200 or BIOENG 1210 or MEMS 1056; PLAN: Chemical Engineering (BSE) Click here for class schedule information.
