Safety Engineering

Our MS program is very flexible beyond the core requirements, and depending on their interests, students are able to choose either a broadly diversified program, or a more focused program that is concentrated on a particular area.  We already advise students who prefer the latter option on how to concentrate their electives classes in specific areas, and this proposal simply aims to formalize this and offer such students the option of a specific concentration area that will also appear on their transcripts.

Safety Engineering is one of these three concentration areas, and like the other concentration areas it requires that students pick 15 credits of coursework from the following list; please note that this does not increase the overall credit requirements for the MS degree, nor does it change the overall degree requirements in any way; it merely specifies some of the electives that students will be required to take to obtain this concentration.
