Return to: School of Public Health This program is a collaboration between the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs and the School of Public Health, Department of Behavioral and Community Health Sciences. The MPH/MID joint degree program prepare students for careers as public health practitioners in emerging economies where health issues are closely linked to social, political, and economic problems.
The BCHS MPH/MID joint degree is designed to be completed in three years of full-time study. The BCHS requirements for the MPH/MID joint degree are listed below. Students should refer to the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs page for the most current MID requirements.
- 45 Public Health credits (6 credits of public health-relevant electives taken in GSPIA can be applied to the 45 credit requirement)
- 78 total credits, including coursework and one 300 contact hour field placement
