LING 2144 - RES METHODS IN APPLIED LING Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course will give a broad introduction to research methods for the study of non-native language development. Both quantitative and qualitative methods will be discussed for the study of as well as informal learning and acquisition processes. But some emphasis will be put on qualitative methods and on classroom language development. Occasional reference will be made to research strategies in sociolinguistics and psycholinguistics.
