EPIDEM 2171 - CANCER EPIDEMIOLOGY Minimum Credits: 2 Maximum Credits: 2 The course reviews basic cancer biology, reviews classic descriptive cancer epidemiology, considers the role for modern biomedical techniques in studies of cancer etiology, and reviews the active hypotheses regarding the etiology of common and uncommon human cancers. Specific topics include biomarkers and intermediate endpoints, tobacco and alcohol associated cancer, viral associated cancer, endocrine related cancer, and nutrition related cancer.
