CEE 2230 - BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 The goal of this course is to introduce the students to building information modeling (BIM) and other new and evolving technologies which are revolutionizing the building and horizontal infrastructure construction industry. Students will learn how BIM and other innovative technologies are being adopted currently by progressive builders to streamline the construction process through enhanced coordination, visualization, logistical planning, cost estimation and analysis. They will also learn how these new tools are enabling (and in some instances requiring) new highly integrated processes that are redefining architecture, engineering, construction and operations (AECO) business relationships and delivery contracts.
