NUR 0031 - MICROBIOLOGY Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This lecture course will introduce students to the basic properties of bacteria, archaea, eukaryotic microorganisms and viruses, with an emphasis on bacteria. The diversity within the microbial world will be emphasized, as well as their relevance to the health and diseases of humans. Approaches for controlling the growth of microbes in the environment and for preventing the spread of infectious diseases will also be discussed.
