GER 0102 - BEGINNING GERMAN 2 Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This is the second part of our elementary language course sequence. In these proficiency-oriented courses students begin to learn how to communicate in German. The course meets three hours per week, and students are expected to study regularly on their own to keep up with the material. The course emphasizes all four skills - speaking, listening, reading, and writing - and introduces students to the culture of the German-speaking countries. Students will be working towards the A2-Exam of the Goethe Institut, which follows the Common European Framework of Reference and is accepted worldwide. Students should plan to take either German 0103 or German 203 during the following semester.
