The DP Children, Youth, and Families Certificate prepares students to provide services and interventions to children, youth, young adults, and families through a wide range of public and private settings.
Students complete Direct Practice specialization requirements as well as those of the certificate. DP students this certificate complete 12 course credits and 12 practicum credits focused on children, youth and families

Direct Practice Skill Electives
Students must complete two courses from the following list:
Practicum
The DP specialization practicum placement (SWINT 2099; 12 credits - 720 clock hours) must be in a community-based setting (program, unit, or agency) with a primary focus on providing direct services and interventions to children, youth, young adults, and families. This may be within a public agency or a private provider agency.
