Leadership in Health Informatics Certificate

Return to School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Return to: School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences

In the Department of Health Information Management, we offer a Certificate in Leadership in Health Informatics. This certificate program can help students open doors in new fields.

There are online and on-campus versions of this certificate. The curriculum and course contents are identical in these two versions. Domestic students can choose either of them according to their situation or preference before enrollment. International students are required to attend the on-campus version of the certificate. On-campus students are permitted to take up to 3 credits online in the certificate program.

Program Requirements

The admission requirements for the certificate program are identical to our graduate programs. All students enrolled in a certificate program are required to complete 12 credits, or four 3-credit courses. For students who pursue an MS degree in our graduate programs, the credits obtained from the certificate program can be counted toward the MS programs. The required courses for the Leadership in Health Informatics Certificate are listed below.

Around half of our courses are only offered once per academic year. In this case, if a student fails to successfully complete a course, the student must retake the course the next academic year. Furthermore, this may also prevent the student from registering for the advanced-level courses and delay the date of graduation.

Total Credits: 12
