Law - Foreign Law Graduates, LLM - Hybrid

The Master of Laws (LLM) degree provides foreign law graduates with critical training in the common law legal tradition, the U.S. legal system, and the global practice of law during an academic year at the University of Pittsburgh, located in Pittsburgh’s vibrant Oakland neighborhood.  Pitt Law’s LLM program provides lawyers who have completed their law degree outside the United States with an opportunity to study common law legal tradition and the U.S. legal system from within the United States.

Degree Requirements


A Virtual to In-Person LLM option can be completed by students in as little as a year and a half. A student will complete the LLM requirements by doing a one-year Online Certificate Program in International Business Law, and after the completion of the certificate program, the student will be required to spend the Fall semester doing coursework on campus.

Students must complete the International Business Law 15-credit online graduate certificate.
