Accounting and Business Analytics, MS (STEM-designated)

Differentiate yourself with this STEM-designated program which prepares students for leadership roles in financial accounting, managerial, and tax accounting. Students gain general business knowledge and specialized accounting and analytics skills. In addition, the program prepares students to pass the CPA Exam, both by covering the content areas of the exam and by satisfying the educational requirements for certification in Pennsylvania and many other U.S. states. Students enrolled in this program must complete the appropriate number of prerequisites required, and elective courses and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.

This program is closed to new applicants as of Fall 2026. Enrolled students may complete all degree requirements as planned. Students who wish to pursue analytics alongside a master’s degree are encouraged to explore our dual degree programs with the MS in Analytics and Applications of AI for Business.

Prerequisite Courses


Prerequisite Courses, may be waived pending previous coursework (minimum grade of B or better) 

  • BUSACC 0030 - Financial Accounting 

  • BUSACC 0040 - Managerial Accounting
