Evaluation of Public Health Promotion and Health Education Programs Certificate

This certificate program is designed to link the University and community in practical applied evaluation initiatives at the community level. As a student in this program you will:
  • Acquire skills to participate in various types of evaluation projects in the public health arena.
  • Work on evaluation projects with support from an expert in the field of program evaluation.

Academic Requirements


15 credits is required, including a 3-credit applied evaluation internship experience under the supervision of evaluation faculty or the certificate program director and in collaboration with a community preceptor.

Elective Courses


6 Credits

Master’s students must choose six credits of electives from the following list of options within and outside of BCHS.
 
Doctoral students must choose one of the following courses:
Additionally, doctoral students must choose three credits of electives from the following list of options within and outside of BCHS.  
 
An updated list is available each year, and students are welcome to propose additional electives from elsewhere in the University.
