Joint Degree
Students may pursue a joint degree program that results in an MBA from the School of Business and an MD from the School of Medicine.
Note: Joint-degree students complete the standard MD curriculum and 33 credits from the School of Business. The MBA requirements are completed after either the 2nd or 3rd year at the School of Medicine, at which points students transfer to the School of Business for one year to complete the MBA requirements. The two degrees will be awarded simultaneously after the completion of all requirements for both degrees.

Requirements for the joint degree MD/MBA
MD
Students complete the standard MD requirements from the School of Medicine.
Master of Business Administration requirements: 33
The following core courses are required of all MBA students:
MBA Required Courses
To supplement the MBA Core Curriculum, MBA students also complete additional required coursework. The content of these courses is designed to accelerate a students’ academic and personal development as a business professional.
MBA Elective Courses
Students in the joint degree program must complete an additional 7.5 elective credits of School of Business courses.
