The STEM-designated Master of Science in Finance and Business Analytics is a 45-credit master’s degree program you may complete in three terms of full-time study beginning in the fall (August) term. Students develop foundational quantitative and qualitative finance skills with powerful data analysis tools and technical skills to be prepared to tackle challenges in portfolio analysis, risk management, and capital markets.
A CFA Institute Partner School, the School of Business offers a finance curriculum covering 70 percent of the topics on the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam and enhances your preparation for related certifications such as the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certifications.
The curriculum is comprised of core and elective courses currently offered to Pitt Business MBA students. Other than an undergraduate degree, no prerequisites are required.
