Disaster Preparedness Certificate

The University of Pittsburgh’s public health disaster preparedness certificate applies a multi-disciplinary approach with a health equity lens to the scholarship, policies, and practices for 21st century challenges. With a focus on community resilience, students will learn strategies for promoting disaster preparedness, response, and recovery to mitigate consequences of climate change, infectious diseases, and natural and human-made disasters. The certificate will also enrich students’ knowledge and skills to address disaster globally.
