Foundations of English Studies Minor
|
|
The Foundations of English Studies minor offers students a broad exposure to the variety of works, genres, and modes of writing that Pitt’s unique English department encompasses. Pitt English is composed of four programs: Literature, Film, Writing, and Composition (Public and Professional Writing). In contrast to a minor in any one of these programs, the minor in the Foundations of English Studies includes coursework from all of them. It is tailored to students who wish to explore the range of curricula in our department, including those who specialize in English in the School of Education. This course of study should also appeal to students who have satisfied multiple General Education requirements in the Department of English and now wish to finalize that work with a credential. This minor can be partnered with many other programs across campus, including those within English and through its joint programs with other schools.
