Return to: Graduate School of Public Health The PhD in environmental and occupational health provides a broad theoretical and practical education for individuals who desire positions in academic, industrial, or government laboratories in the multifaceted discipline of environmental health sciences. This program will provide a degree that emphasizes a practice-oriented, interdisciplinary approach to research that encompasses in its coursework the competencies of the five core areas of Public Health: environmental health, biostatistics, epidemiology, health policy and management, and behavioral and community health aspects of Public Health. It further includes courses to develop proficiencies in one of several high-level career directions.
