Bioethics Program

Overview of the Program

The Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences provides innovative graduate-level education in bioethics through its Master of Arts in Bioethics (MA) and a Graduate Certificate in Bioethics, serving the interests of those who do not want to commit to pursuing a graduate degree, as well as joint degree programs with the School of Law and School of Medicine. Like the field of bioethics itself, each program’s curriculum is interdisciplinary. Courses are taught by faculty from a range of disciplines, including ethics and philosophy, health policy and law, medicine, and the social sciences. Students from varied backgrounds, pursuing diverse career paths, explore ethical issues within these programs through seminars, clinical ethics practica, and research projects tailored to their individual interests and career goals.
