BIOINF 2017 - CLINICAL RESEARCH INFORMATICS Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course is an introduction to the emerging field of clinical research informatics (CRI). It involves informatics solutions in support of scientists who conduct clinical research, as well as those who translate evidence in biological, clinical, and epidemiological studies. CRI endeavors to improve clinical research information systems, recruitment of participants to clinical trials, mining of electronic health records for comparative effectiveness research, scientific collaboration, data sharing, re-analysis of extant data, patient registries, results databases, optimization of research workflows, semantic harmonization, and more.
