This course introduces students to the principles, technologies, and best practices for protecting data and communications across modern networked environments. The course explores the design and operation of secure network architectures, threat models, and defense mechanisms that safeguard confidentiality, integrity, availability, and authenticity. Topics include cryptographic foundations, secure network protocols, authentication and access control, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, and emerging issues in network security.
