The practicum’s weekly seminar sessions (which may also be attended by medical students/residents) will address (1) skills needed for communicating effectively with persons served by Street Medicine; (2) basic law regarding the legal needs frequently experienced by unhoused persons; (3) social drivers of health and structural factors that contribute to and arise from homelessness; and (4) legal and policy strategies for addressing homelessness as a social and public health problem.
