NURNP 2114 - MANAGEMENT OF COMPLEX HEALTH PROBLEMS OF THE ACUTELY AND CRITICALLY ILL ADULT CLINICAL Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course is designed to build upon the theoretical, practical and evidence-based foundation for advanced nursing practice through diagnosis and management of complex health problems seen in acutely ill and critically ill adult patients. Through ongoing clinical experience, students implement the nursing process when caring for patients who are acutely and critically ill and apply the clinical decision-making process in care of patients. Aspects of health promotion and maintenance appropriate to these patients and families will also be emphasized. This course emphasizes patient and family-centered and culturally respectful care, in addition to interprofessional collaboration.
