NUR 3294 - STATE OF SCIENCE: RESEARCH SLEEP AND CIRCADIAN RHYTHMS Minimum Credits: 2 Maximum Credits: 2 This course focuses on the critical appraisal and synthesis of empirical evidence relevant to science in the area of sleep and circadian rhythms. Theoretical foundations and mechanistic processes are the focus along with examination of issues in measurement, considerations for intervention development, analytics, and implications for clinical application. Emphasis will be placed on the identification, critical review, analysis, and integration of physiological, psychological, and social responses to impaired sleep and circadian rhythms and their implications for the student’s own area of research.
