NUR 3288 - RESEARCH MEASUREMENT Minimum Credits: 2 Maximum Credits: 2 This course focuses on concepts and techniques for analyzing the quality and characteristics of measurements in health research. Classic and emerging theories of measurement will be discussed including classical test theory, generalizability theory, latent variable modeling, and network psychometrics. Principles and methodologies of psychometrics will be discussed and applied by students to evaluate the reliability, validity, and dimensionality (via factor analysis) of research instruments. Emphasis is placed on understanding the interrelationship of study aims, design and methods in outcomes measurement.
