NURSAN 3796 - ADVANCED PHARMACOLOGY FOR NURSE ANESTHETISTS Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course provides the basis for in-depth understanding of the pharmacology of clinical anesthesia practice. Specific properties of anesthetic agents and commonly used adjunctive drugs are discussed and evaluated for appropriate application in clinical situations. Development of a comprehensive knowledge base with respect to drugs used by the Nurse Anesthetist in the clinical setting will be achieved through lecture, presentation, situational examples, and case analysis. Students will formulate specific pharmacologic plans through synthesis of a variety of concepts.
