NURNP 2414 - CPLX HLTH PROB ACTLY/CRIT ILL Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course is designed to develop a theoretical foundation for advanced nursing care of the acutely and critically ill adult-gerontology patient. Through didactic information, laboratory experience, and course assignments, students develop the knowledge base and psychomotor skills central to planning, implementing and evaluating health care for adult-gerontology patients with complex health problems that are commonly seen across the continuum of acute care delivery systems. Health maintenance, health promotion, disease prevention and health protection appropriate to this patient population will also be emphasized.
