NURNP 2104 - MANAGEMENT OF COMPLEX HEALTH PROBLEMS OF THE ACUTELY AND CRITICALLY ILL ADULT Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course is designed to develop a theoretical, practical, and evidence-based foundation for advanced nursing practice in the diagnosis and management of selected dysfunctions/alterations commonly seen in the critically ill adult-gerontology patient. Through didactic information, laboratory experience, and course assignments, students develop the knowledge base and psychomotor skills central to planning, implementing and evaluating health care for adult-gerontology patients with complex health problems that are commonly seen across the continuum of acute care delivery systems. Aspects of health promotion, health restoration, and maintenance appropriate to these patients and families will also be emphasized.
