MSCMP 3750 - ANGIOGENESIS Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Angiogenesis is one of the important research areas in biomedical sciences. Formation of new and remodeling of existing blood vessels are fundamental processes involved in organism tissues homeostasis. Aberrant angiogenesis and vascular remodeling contribute to the development and progression of major cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular diseases. This course will provide extensive knowledge of developmental and pathological angiogenesis, as well as most recent advances in its clinical applications. Topics include: 1. Angiogenesis and vascular remodeling in physiological and pathological processes; 2. Molecular and cellular regulation of angiogenesis and vascular remodeling; 3. Methodologies and techniques for angiogenesis studies; 4) Current advances in angiogenic therapies.
