MSCMP 3710 - CANCER BIOLOGY AND THERAPEUTICS Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course presents biochemical and clinical aspects of cancer biology and therapy, designed for graduate students training in the basic sciences or medicine. The lectures cover fundamental topics in cancer biology and pathology, the biology of major cancer types, viral oncogenesis, and an overview of cancer therapeutics including chemotherapy, DNA repair-based therapies, targeted therapies, hormonal therapies, and immunotherapy. This course also covers experimental models and databases used in cancer research and the process of cancer drug development.
